community

Since I was a child, giving back to my community has always been a priority for me. Today, this is evident through my commitment to yoga and to charitable actions that are close to my heart.

As a yoga teacher I volunteer my time in a local school and for adults with disabilities. I also donate of the funds from my prenatal yoga, children's yoga, and cancer yoga classes as well as 20% of SUKHA PASS proceeds to a cause that is very close to my heart:  Challengers on a Mission , a charity I created to support an orphanage in northern Ethiopia, home to 30 disabled children and 200 disabled adults.

Every year I travel to Ethiopia to provide help and support.  There is an inspiring phrase from Mother Teresa: “Do small things with great love” and that is how I try to drive this project forward.

Thank you to everyone who comes to my yoga classes. Your presence helps make a real difference in the lives of these children.
